Megan Kelly
Megan Kelly taught kindergarten in Corte Madera at Neil Cummins
School for eight years. She is now the Assistant Principal at Hall Middle
School. Megan became familiar with Crossfit when the Belger sisters
were students in her class. TJ would come to the class to lead workouts
for the kids, and Megan was inspired. After joining TJ’s Gym, herself,
she quickly recognized the many benefits that CrossFit could have for
kids, especially some of the very active five and six-year-old boys in her
class! She began to adapt CrossFit lessons to her classroom and to
teach her students about the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
In 2010, Megan earned a Crossfit Level 1 Certification as well as a
Crossfit Kids Certification. She now runs our TJ's Kids program, as
director of programming and coaching. She likes to be creative with
the programming, so that kids enjoy themselves and are laughing and
having fun while becoming more fit. She brings a tangible enthusiasm to
each class, and parents often say they can tell right away that she spent
years as a classroom teacher for young children!
Megan holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a
Masters in Education from San Francisco State University.
