CrossFit is a workout program based on functional body movements and drawing from the disciplines of Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardiovascular fitness.

Not Your Ordinary Workout
Workout sessions vary in length, ranging from a few minutes to a full hour, with intensity being a
consistent component. The idea is to challenge the body and psyche beyond previously
experienced limits, through increases in speed, weight, and reps, as well as combinations of
movements. Workouts are never exactly the same, an element which keeps the body guessing
and challenges participants in ways other workouts don't. CrossFit workouts can be modified to
meet the training needs of athletes of all ages and fitness levels. Because of its proven success,
CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical
operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of
other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Once you've tried a class here at TJ's Gym, we
think you'll see why CrossFit is NOT your ordinary workout!
Please call or e-mail us to schedule a complimentary CrossFit introductory session. During this session, you will learn more about our CrossFit program and will be able to complete a sample workout with one of our certified instructors.

2-3 individual, low-cost sessions are required before joining group classes. This is to make sure that newcomers are comfortable with, and proficient enough in, the exercises we do, and to ensure the safety of all class participants. Please contact us to schedule this series of low-cost sessions.
